Through the past 10 years I've worked along with my father to publish his books of fiction, some of them written decades ago. There are eleven books, amongst them novels, short stories and poetry. My job was to develop the design of the text block, the typography, the cover design and its illustrations. This Behance project is the register of this adventure.
Durante mais de dez anos trabalhei junto de meu pai para publicar seus livros de ficção, alguns deles escritos décadas atrás. Foram 11 livros, entre romances, contos e poesias. Minha parte envolveu a diagramação do miolo, a tipografia, o design de capa e suas ilustrações. Este projeto é o registro dessa aventura.
Up to here, all of the cover illustrations were done in ink with a digital treatment. From 2021 on we chose to change the books visuals towards full digital paintings (Photoshop) and new typography, to mark the first publishings signed by Maxibook Publishing.
Até aqui os desenhos para as capas foram feitos em caneta nanquim e tratados digitalmente. Em 2021 optamos por mudar o visual das capas com pinturas digitais (Photoshop) e nova tipografia, para marcar as primeiras publicações assinadas pela editora Maxibook.
